The Seniors' Ministry or as we usually refer to this ministry, The God Abouts, is one of the newest ministry here at Chapel by the Sea. The God Abouts provide the seniors in the Tybee, Wilmington, Whitemarsh, Talahi, and Oatland Islands community with an opportunity for fellowship, fun, enjoyment and travel.

The senior members of our church have a strong and relentless willingness to serve and help guide our church family to meet the needs of the seniors in and around our community. Their years of selfless contribution to the health and welfare of the body of Christ are respected and greatly appreciated.  

The God Abouts meet at Chapel by the Sea on the 3^rd Tuesday of each month. Our gathering time is at 12:00 noon for a lunch provided by the church or we have a covered dish lunch along with a planned program. At each monthly meeting, the activities for the following month are announced. In addition, activity announcements are also provided here on the Chapel by the Sea website, announcement sheets, email, newspaper, and telephone messages.

The God Abouts are blessed with a group of people who come together every month in a spirit of unity and love. We give freely of our talents, time, efforts and monies; to prepare each activity, for the sole enjoyment of attending seniors. In this connection, to provide a congenial and wholesome atmosphere where you can bring your friends, make some new friends, and be with your friends.

Donations are accepted at the door to help meet the needs of future activities planned for the God Abouts.

Additionally, within this ministry we have short, one day, trips to surrounding areas in which we enjoy fellowship and go to theaters, shops, dining, and just get out and see the sites.

We would love for you to become apart of this group of active seniors and join us in worship, fellowship and fun. So, if you're 50 years of age or more, you are invited to participate and enjoy our activities. We would like encourage you to join us and be "In His Service and Love", as a God About.
